Gynecology

An increasing number of women are opting for reconstructive and cosmetic gynecological surgery. Each year, thousands of women undergo procedures to alleviate discomfort, improve their well-being, and boost their confidence.

We are here to help you address your gynecological concerns openly. The area of the labia majora and labia minora, the clitoris, and the vaginal entrance is collectively referred to as the vulva. The notion that procedures on the vulva are performed solely for cosmetic reasons is untrue. There can be various reasons to consider a vulva procedure:

The most common procedures on the vulva are:

Reduction of the inner (small) labia; labiaplasty

A labiaplasty is a procedure in which the shape of the inner labia (labia minora) is corrected or reduced. This can be performed for various individual reasons. The shape or size of one or both labia can sometimes cause discomfort or issues.

Reduction of the outer (large) labia; labia majora lift

A labiaplasty is a procedure in which the shape of the outer labia (labia majora) is corrected or reduced. This can be performed for various individual reasons. The shape or size of one or both labia can sometimes cause discomfort or issues.

Reduction of the clitoral hood

The vulva, in addition to the labia, also includes the clitoral hood. The clitoral hood is a piece of skin that covers and protects the clitoris. Sometimes, women may have excess skin around the hood, or the clitoris may be overly covered. During a correction, excess skin is removed, which can improve clitoral stimulation. A clitoral hood reduction is often combined with a labiaplasty.

Tightening of the vaginal entrance; introitoplasty

Vaginal tightening is a procedure performed to strengthen the vaginal wall and restore the tightness of the vagina. Vaginal tightening can be effectively combined with a labiaplasty.

Correction of scar tissue on the vulva

Various mechanisms can cause injuries to the perineum and vagina, most of which are caused by childbirth. Every healing process involves scar formation, and sometimes scar tissue can lead to discomfort. Depending on the location of the scar and the symptoms, a correction of the scar may be performed.

There are various reasons to consider a procedure on the vulva:

Reduce physical discomfort: For some women, the shape or size of the vulva causes physical discomfort, such as pain during exercise, wearing tight clothing, or during intercourse. Surgery can help reduce this discomfort.

Improved self-confidence: Some women feel uncomfortable with the appearance of their vulva. A cosmetic procedure can help boost self-confidence and improve the quality of (intimate) life.

Postpartum recovery: After childbirth, the area around the vulva can change. A procedure can help restore the original shape and functionality. We can assist you. A localized procedure can result in significant improvement of your symptoms and contribute to greater self-confidence.
